Hi Tech Modular Cleanrooms

American Warehouse Systems is proud to offer Starrco modular clean rooms. A clean room is a controlled environment where sensitive products are manufactured or packaged. Custom Solutions for Custom Problems

More often than not, customers already have existing equipment in place when they realize they have a need for more. Frequently, the existing structures are custom built, making it difficult to incorporate additional equipment and meet the customer’s needs. That’s not a problem for American Warehouse Systems, because we love a challenge and can find a solution for every problem. We recently finished installing mezzanine systems in two separate hangers on a military base. The mezzanines were being installed into older hangers with many obstructions. Because of this, only custom designed mezzanines would work for each hanger. An American Warehouse Systems mezzanine specialist completed a detailed site survey, where every column height was measured for the unique install locations. One hanger required a U-shaped mezzanine ... Read more

... So We Added A Mezzanine To Their Mezzanine

We are often asked to create storage space out of thin air.  Customers who have such a premium on floor space that they can't afford to give up an inch but desperately need the additional room.  In most cases an industrial steel warehouse mezzanine will fit the bill nicely.  Unfortunately sometimes a run of the mill mezzanine just won't do.  American Warehouse Systems loves projects like this.  A challenge to create something out of nothing.  This is one of those stories. Currently American Warehouse Systems is working on a project to build a two level mezzanine system on a military base. The customer expressed a need for significantly more storage in the building but did not have any floor space to lose. The structure presented ... Read more

Changing The Order "On The Fly"

It is a pretty common occurrence for our customers to send in a requirement only to have command change their minds midstream or command to actually change.  Sometimes the project needs to be modified after the order has been placed and funds have been allocated to the project.  Fortunately American Warehouse Systems is a customer service driven company.  We don't believe in letting our clients go away with disappointment so we deal with the issue and make the necessary changes. Recently, a military customer placed an order for shelving and wire storage lockers at an undisclosed location (to protect the innocent).  After the order had been placed and the materials were in the early stages of production, some of the areas were reassigned by the ... Important Message for Any Organization with Warehouse Pallet Rack

Pallet Rack Bay showing beam, upright and wire deck If you have pallet racking in your facility there is a good chance you have welded wire shelves, more commonly know as wire decks, setting on your pallet rack beams. There is a common misconception that pallet rack wire shelves, or WIRE DECKS, can be used to support the weight of stored pallets. This is not the intended use. Pallet Supports should be used for supporting the weight of a pallet or tote that does not reach, or can not be supported by, the entire top surface of both the front and back pallet rack beams. Wire decks do have a capacity rating, however, in accordance with ANSI standard MH26.2 the wire deck design must support the manufacturer’s rated capacity for a uniformly distributed static ...
