Effective Weapons During the US Revolutionary War

I am often amazed by the technology of yesteryear especially implements of war.  Here are a few great examples of weapons used during the US Revolutionary war.  Both the muzzle loading cannon and the flintlock musket were used on almost every major battle of the Revolution (I'd say all but I don't have the evidence right now to back up that absolute).  These were high technology back then able to deal death to the enemy faster than ever.  I often think what a few cases of ammo and a mini-gun could have done!  Enjoy! Muzzle Loading Cannon Firing a muzzle loading cannon was quite difficult during the revolutionary war. It required a team of 7 to 14 men, with each soldier having a specialized job ... Read more

... So We Added A Mezzanine To Their Mezzanine

We are often asked to create storage space out of thin air.  Customers who have such a premium on floor space that they can't afford to give up an inch but desperately need the additional room.  In most cases an industrial steel warehouse mezzanine will fit the bill nicely.  Unfortunately sometimes a run of the mill mezzanine just won't do.  American Warehouse Systems loves projects like this.  A challenge to create something out of nothing.  This is one of those stories. Currently American Warehouse Systems is working on a project to build a two level mezzanine system on a military base. The customer expressed a need for significantly more storage in the building but did not have any floor space to lose. The structure presented ... Read more

So What Makes the F-117A a "Stealth Fighter"?

We often hear about the F-117A and it's ability to hide from enemy detection.  I think most understand there is some amazing technology behind the design.  We did a little research and found out the information for you.  Check it out! The F-117A Nighthawk is the first aircraft with the ability to penetrate high-threat airspace while utilizing stealth technology. Equipped with a unique radar scattering design and radar absorbent surfaces, the F-117A is able to attack critical targets with amazing accuracy while remaining virtually invisible to enemy eyes. Vital to the Nighthawk being a stealth fighter is its radar-absorbent material (RAM), which is paint outfitted with a special iron compound that dissipates radar waves. Underneath the paint is a layer of tiny triangles that trap ... Read more
