You Still Aren't LinkedIn?

I am often asked by industry colleagues, "How can a social media site like Linkedin help me sell material handling equipment?"  Linkedin, in my humble opinion, is the most powerful sales tool since the phone. Linkedin, if used properly can easily double or triple an average sales persons reach. It opens door that were once permanently locked. In today's economy increasing marketing reach is of utmost importance. If your customers aren't buying material handling products, you need to find more customers. Linkedin is the perfect tool for the task. Build It and They Will Come First things first. In order to be successful on Linkedin you must have a complete Linkedin page with a professional looking head shot. Make certain you have a robust description ... Read more

A Mezzanine Installed Through Your Office While You Work!

Recently American Warehouse Systems completed a rather complex mezzanine project for one of our clients.  F&M Plastics in Osceola, WI called on American Warehouse Systems because they needed additional storage space in their factory's warehouse.  This in and of itself is a straight forward task.  The spin?  They wanted us to design and install a mezzanine system over an existing office area including a large break room and some bathrooms. Twitter, Our Customers, and the Social Media Community

I am first and foremost a marketing person, specifically business to business (or Government) marketing on the Internet. We have been very fortunate to be able to grow American Warehouse Systems from two guys in a storage closet (literally) to one of the largest suppliers of material handling products to the US Federal Government. All of this business has been generated via Internet traffic (to date we still don't have a yellow page listing). Through the years we have relied on leading edge search engine optimization and other Internet marketing strategies to bring our customers to us. With the dawn of social media I have turned a great deal of my attention toward this "new" marketing resource.  Social media is a great way to get ... Read more
