Mezzanine System for Defense Logistics Agency
American Warehouse Systems was asked to design and implement a large mezzanine system for the Defense Logistic Agency in one of their California facilities. DLA used to store materials in pallets on standard selective rack in the project area and they wanted to turn it over to a manual cart picking operation. The system included a 40,000 sq. ft. mezzanine, over 4000 steel shelving units, Hytrol conveyor, fire suppression, lighting and electrical systems and floor resurfacing. American Warehouse Systems was able to sell the project via our extensive GSA schedule including complete installation of all systems.
The project went very well and was completed on time and on budget. Defense Logistics Agency has reported they are very happy with the system and our performance on the project.
